In which I do my part to save the economy. AND THE PLANET.Hvor jeg gjør min del for å redde økonomien. OG PLANETEN.

I’ve decided to hop on the latest trend and acknowledge that we live in a time of difficulty and struggle. The poor economy has forced many of us to make tough choices for ourselves and our families. I am making one of those choices today. I, Adrenalynn, am hereby changing my lifestyle.
I know many of you have cut down on lattes at your favorite coffee shop, or started buying cheap toilet paper that doesn’t give you that soft, soothing feeling you’re used to; but I say desperate times call for desperate measures.
So as of today, I no longer drive like a crazy person. You see, I love me some speed. And heavy accelerating. And overtaking little brats in daddy’s BMW on the expressway. Or on a narrow, curvy country road, whichever is available. But this is about to stop! The fact that my car uses about twice the amount of gas when I drive as opposed to when my husband drives it, speaks for itself. And I’m sure driving a bit more responsibly (or in other words; boring) will be good for other stuff too, like, the environment. And the health of the senior citizens that I repeatedly sometimes honk at when they’re driving slowly. And my kids, who haven’t thrown up in the car nearly as many times as you’d think.
Your turn! Are you doing (or refraining from) anything in particular to save money?[lang_en]I’ve decided to hop on the latest trend and acknowledge that we live in a time of difficulty and struggle.

What a great gal you are thinking of other people like that. I’m proud of you.
Me? I’m going to turn on every light in the house and leave it on so I never have to expend the energy to turn them on and off ever again. This means I won’t need to consume so much food. Which means that the supermarket won’t have to order as much food, which means the haulage companies won’t have to transport as much food, which means the producer won’t have to make as much food, which means the farmer won’t have to grow as much food, which means he doesn’t expend as much energy and can therefore eat less… and so it continues. Good idea or what??

Hehe, good idea, you can try and replace the racing feeling by some kind of a game ;p

Wow, that Dave Fowler’s quite the guy!
Me, cutting back to only one new dimaond bracelet or pendant a month. Cutting way back on the Prada. Only bought 4 pairs of shoes since Monday. Feeding my cows a lesser wheat.

Very nice way of thinking, I wish you success on that!
For me, the biz is not that good these days, I stated to turn lights that I don’t need, I don’t drive to no where like before I don’t buy what I don’t need!

Hvaforno?
I was wasting so much money on impulse magazine buys so I got subscriptions to my favs. Saved so much!
Yes Sister. Changing life style to save the world is a great idea. We have to start now. Using recycle thing is a great way too..

Yeah, I’ll have to go buy GTA now or something!
Ja, så klart!! Du er langt foran meg der… kremt.
Oh wow, why didn’t I think of that? Or furthermore, why haven’t our world’s leaders thought of that?! If everyone thought like you we could change the world! I sense a revolution coming. Mark my words.
Wow. The sacrifices! The hardship! I can’t even imagine. Godspeed, my friend, Godspeed.
Avtale!
How clever! I’ve switched to reading them online, but of course you miss all the good stuff…
Those are all great suggestions! Thanks!
Kjempe hygiensk eller no….
Kjendiser.
That’s so true. Every little change can make a difference!
