Gone Fishing

Another weekend gone before I even noticed it had started. How does that even happen? At least I snapped some photos to document its occurrence. And you’re so lucky I feel like sharing!
It was a little rainy on Saturday (no surprise there) so we decided to visit the penguins at the Aquarium instead of sitting at home watching the kids climb the curtains. Not that curtain-climbing isn’t quality entertainment, but after a while it just gets a little old, you know?
…and here’s what my boys are staring at.
How nerdy am I for not knowing that Gentoo is a Penguin and not just an operating system? Don’t answer that.
We arrived just in time to miss the seal show, so we walked inside to avoid the rain and to watch the reptiles and sharks instead.
A few hundred species of fish and other aquatic creatures later…
…we had successfully killed off an entire Saturday morning, and I hadn’t even wanted to bang my head against the wall once.
Though this little guy didn’t look half as cute when he refused to get up. I may or may not have bribed him with ice cream. Don’t judge me.

Hey Nerd Girl,
I just tried curtain climbing myself (like five minutes ago….after reading here first…). The curtain is on the floor (in pieces), the curtain rod thingy….bent all out of shape. Speaking of which…so is my wife (there really should be some warning here!) (i.e. WARNING: Don't try this at home). I'm off to setup a tent after I finish here (my sleeping quarters for the night). Ahhh….maybe it won't be so bad after all (well…except for that thunderstorm warning). I'll be okay, though…don't worry about me…
