Boys, boys, boys

Posted by Adrenalynn on 19 February 2011

Our family is a busy one. That’s nothing special these days though; everyone is busy. Being busy has become proof you lead an interesting life. And we do. But we also struggle to find time for the things that really matter. Our weekdays are so packed that we rarely spend any quality time together before it’s suddenly bed time. I won’t even mention how often my children get to bathe.

That’s why weekends are so important to us. Not only do we sometimes wash the kids, we make sure we spend as much time as possible doing fun stuff together as a family. We try not to let the stress and exhaustion of the week before seep into the weekend, but try to get out (semi) early and do things that the kids are excited about. Of course it’s tiring to spend an entire Saturday doing all sorts of activities, but it’s the good kind of tiring. I always feel so much more fulfilled than I do on days when we choose to do only the minimum.

Last weekend we spent the morning at a local pool, ate dinner at home and went straight back out to do something that I wasn’t at all excited about. As you may know, I live with boys. The challenge of being the only girl in the house is always having to do boy stuff. And this was no exception.

So I hereby present my boys and their cars:

Did I mention I have three kids?

All right, I’ll admit I kinda had fun.

Yes, those are pink Cherrox boots with a red suit. It was cold, OK?!

Have a wonderful weekend!
