The Gallery: 6
Posted by Adrenalynn on 10 March 2010
Oh look, it’s been a week since my last post. Anyway, it’s time for another Gallery entry! The prompt for this week is A number. Yeah, thanks, Tara. A number.
Like 6; the number of strings on a guitar.
I’m a music person and I’ve always wanted to play the guitar. Not learn to play the guitar, note the difference. I have tried to learn how to play – several times. I just don’t have the patience to spend any time getting good at it. The result being that I can fake it relatively well, but I’m not confident enough to actually play in front of people. Or even in front of myself, without cringing. But I love me a nice guitar, and this photo is kinda awesome, I think!
Please pop over to Tara and check out the other participants this week!

Beautiful photo! Love it…I know what you mean about wanting to ‘play’. I’m like that with the piano.

Hi there Brighton Mum! Thank you
Actually, I do have a piano as well. And though I’m slightly better at that, I’m nowhere near able. It’s quite annoying, really!
Did you take that photo? It’s amazing. :0)
Hi Nova; I’ve debated whether to take credit for this photo myself, but I’m giving in – it’s my husband’s handiwork! Thanks for coming by
blimey, it’s a good job you told us what the photo was because I didn’t have a clue. I was all ‘what?’!
I bet you look so cool with a guitar in hand . . .
.-= Tara@Sticky Fingers´s last blog post: The Gallery: 4½ =-.
Hi Tara; I do look super cool with a guitar! Does this mean that you haven’t yet seen my famous photo with the pink Daisy guitar? I must show it to you sometime…
This photo is most awesome – how did you do that?

Hi there MrsW; it’s actually very simple with a fish eye lens
Thanks for stopping by!
I wish I could play the guitar. I have a good quality accoustic sitting right next to me. I bought it about four years ago, had one lesson, hated the teacher and never went back.
Hi Dave; I remember! Have you still not gotten over the sucky teacher? Don’t take it out on the guitar!
Amazing photo. Wide angle lens?
.-= Noble Savage´s last blog post: Four: Colours =-.
Hi Noble Savage; it’s a fish eye! Thank you, good of you to come by
Great shot! Makes me want to sit down and figure out my camera, fancy one I have no idea how to work… Crap, one of these days! Meanwhile I will keep posting sporadically on my blog, with no pictures. Sigh.
Hi Neri! I love your sporadic blogging, though you should sit down and figure out that camera so we can enjoy seeing the photos
Oh this is so bloody good I feel embarrassed at the quality of mine now! Love it!
.-= Trish@ Mum’s Gone to´s last blog post: The Gallery – 36 =-.
Hi Trish; are you kidding?! I love yours, it’s so poetic!
this is gorgeous! I love this shot, you are a damn site cleverer than i at this whole photograph taking thing.
Hi Heather; actually, *cough* my husband shot this – but in my defense, I could totally do it. You know, if I had the patience to photograph stuff from all angles just for fun.
Amazing photo – Did you have the patience to ‘learn’ how to take pictures like this, or are you just naturally very good at it. It’s a really interesting take on it, I could look at it for ages…
.-= 1 Husband, 2 Kids´s last blog post: Poo face =-.
Hi 1 Husband, 2 Kids! You know, I actually don’t have the patience at all. My husband though, he never gets tired of experimenting. And lucky me, he’s gracious enough to teach me stuff every once in a while! He’s the one that shot this, though it’s actually extremely easy if you just have the right lens!
wow, excellent photo.
I wish I was as creative as that. I also would love to play the guitar but never had the patience to learn properly so am now left just wishing!
Marianne; I love extreme close ups or photos from interesting angles like this! I actually kinda hate myself for not just having the patience to practice playing, because I know I could get good at it!
ooooh that’s a really interesting photo. I’m not sure what to say about it other than “oooh!”
.-= Priness_L_88´s last blog post: The Gallery: 70,000,000 =-.
Hi Princess L! Thank you!
Hi, thanks for the nice comment you left on my blog.
At first glance I thought this was a picture of a snooker ball ( call me mad) maybe because of the way it shines. Very creative.
BTW, I think you should write in both languages. I usually do that on my blog, highlighting the (Brazilian) Portuguese language with a different color.
.-= Ju´s last blog post: The number is 2 =-.
Hi Ju; thank you for the input! I’ve written in both for a very long time, but to be honest it’s so much easier and less time consuming to write in just English. But I’m still considering it though…
FANTASTIC! What an excellent piece of photography! I love it
.-= Hayley´s last blog post: One. =-.
Hi Hayley! I’m glad you like it!! Thanks so much for visiting!
what a great interpretation of the theme!
such a stunning and powerful image.
love&light!

Hi Jodie; thank you! I’m glad you came by

But of course! It’s a must-have
Hi
“I’ve always wanted to play the guitar. Not learn to play the guitar”
I like it and those are my sentiments exactly.
Guitar or saxaphone to give me that cool look. LOL
I always manage to find reasons not to learn.
.-= Keith Davis´s last blog post: A helping hand… =-.
Hi Keith; musicians always look SO cool – of course that’s why I’ve always wanted to play an instrument
But somehow practicing isn’t quite as cool…
