Stuff I found in my washing machine yesterday
Posted by Adrenalynn on 3 September 2010
My son is a collector. Yes, I know all kids put stuff in their pockets, but mine borders on klepto. Mostly I accidentally discover what he’s had in his pockets that day when I pick up his pants and find my floor suddenly covered in four handfuls of sand, nails, rocks, or all of the above, but other times I find stuff like this in the washing machine after I’ve spent the evening listening to a slightly noisier spin cycle:
No, not all of those are ours. I don’t even know.

It's amazing what kids collect, you'll have to watch it when he gets older and has his own mobile phone or that could be whizzing around on a spin cycle as well LOL
Hi Karen; I think I'm in for a few surprises down the road! And I always think I've checked every pocket… I dread the day when something important eventually gets a ride in there!
It's always best to double check, better to check than to fork out on repairs
Karen; So true!
We have similar experiences but I’m thankful that we’re yet to find anything that was once alive!
LOL-did you ever see what I found in my machine/drier?

Hi Susie; oh help! I am in shock over here! My husband blames me when his pens make ugly marks on his white shirts, but this just takes the cake! Keep checking those pockets. And I like your idea for the tip jar….
Tell your husband pockets need to be emptied when taken off.
I make a small bit of change in the tip jar but my kids sometimes get to it first.
Susie; ha ha! Oh, you're serious. I actually think I have a better chance of getting the kids to empty their pockets! At least my kids aren't tall enough to reach the shelf in the laundry room, so I'm in good shape
You have to admit, that's way better than finding a frog.
Hi JD; you HAD to make me think about that, didn't you?! Now I'll be scared to death of opening my washing machine -or even worse, dryer!
