Haaaaaaaaaaappy New Year!
Posted by Adrenalynn on 2 January 2011
How was your Christmas? Did it snow? Did you get to relax and unwind? Did you score any good gifts?
This Christmas we all finally got to do something together as a family. I have to tell you though, there’s something about projectile vomiting that I just can’t stomach. As a result I spent the better part of Christmas either holding a sick child or zoned out on the couch myself. It’s at times like this your perspective changes and you realize what’s really important. Like making it through the day without dropping dead. Or getting the laptop away from any rogue bodily fluids. Sadly, we failed on the latter. Thankfully it was my husband’s laptop and not mine.
You also realize what doesn’t matter. Like going outside. Or showering. Which is why this came in really handy:
Happy new year!
I hope the year 2011 will rock your socks off!

I do apologise for my grammar nazi-ish tendencies, but you spelt "together" wrong.
Seeing as you've been sick, I will classify this as a typo, and wish you and your family a great new year.
Hi Ingalill; I most certainly did not! Just look, it's correct now….
But if I had done it, it would definitely be just a typo. Not that I did. You know.
Lynn, you're a vison of lovliness in that giant hat. And no one wants to see your hairy tongue. Put it away!!
We had the Norovirus too. 7 of us! Then 4 of us got it again. And to add to the joy we all got a smashing dose of swine flu to cheer us up.
Happy New Year to you!
Dave; I've always thought my hairy tongue was one of my best features! I'm sorry to hear you all got sick x3! Hope everyone is feeling better? So good to see you up and about again
I would like 2011 to rock my socks off — I'll make it happen.
Best wishes to you and yours for 2011.
Hi JD! You WILL make it happen! You're definitely a doer
I wish you all the best this year!
What's the deal here, anyway??? Are you related to my daughter???? She has her tongue out in almost every picture she takes (of herself). And…she takes a lot. (why did we get her a camera?!?!?)
And…happy 2011!! (and beyond!)
I had my socks off a bit ago (outside, no less…in the snow) (what was I thinking, anyway?) (I have since resumed wearing said socks…)
Lance, my friend! I never had the tongue-phase growing up, so I'm making up for it now! I'm gonna stick my tongue out in every single photo in 2011. It's really a rite of passage, so I feel the need to get it over with.
Are you serious? Who walks around in the snow with their socks off?! Only you, that's who. I don't even want to go outside with shoes on! So glad it was a short lived phase of crazy…
I hope you all are feeling better, Lynn! That's terrible about the laptop, but love the hat.
Hi Lynn! Yes, we're all feeling a lot better, thank you! Hope you've had a good holiday!
I got snow three days ago. Which is wierd because I live in the desert.
Hopefully there won't be much more puke in store for you in 2011.
Turfdad! Life's been kicking my butt lately so I forgot you'd stopped by! How's the weather these days? Hope you're blissfully snow-free. We're enjoying a rain/snow/slush/ice situation, which is super fun. But no puke yet!
